The flight of a butterfly

I released 128 Mourning Cloak butterflies back into the wild. Their journey started from eggs I found on a Chinese elm branch and ended back into the wild. As I released the butterflies, my dad was taking photos with a fast shutter speed. I then stitched the photos together for the photo shown.

Peek a Boo

A photo I captured last summer of a damselfly looking at me through a leaf near our neighborhood lake. I spent several hours waiting for them to land. This is the second shot I captured out of a thousand photos that were out of focus. But in the end, it was well worth the effort.
