Garden of the Gods Pillar Sunrise
While preparing to leave Garden of the Gods, I saw this view from the road. As the clouds were moving out, the sky opened up, allowing the sun's golden rays to be cast across the winter landscape.
Nature's Window
This morning I woke up at 4:30 am and drove to Garden of the Gods in hopes of catching pre-dawn light. It then began to blizzard while I was in the Park, and I waited it out in the parking lot. The reward was a winter wonderland once the clouds broke. I captured multiple photos around the Park, but this was one of my favorites.
Garden of the Gods Gold
I was amazed to see the amount of snow we received in the mountains this morning. I look forward to capturing a few more photos around Garden of the Gods this evening and tomorrow, but here is a picture from last weeks snow storm with a herd of deer grazing below.

Garden of the Gods Fire Sunrise
I stood there as the snow slowly fell from above; the fog began to burn with a golden light as the sun crested the horizon. The towering rock formations captured this light, filling the cold, snowy landscape with a warm glow.
Grazing in the Garden
Big Horn Sheep are a difficult subject to photograph, but I was able to capture this angle a little after sunrise at Garden of the Gods. In this photo, I only had one mooning me.
Path to the Peak
I captured the alpine glow on Pikes Peak as the sun burned through the fog. I have been after this angle for a while, and with this late April snow, I was able to photograph the scene I had imagined.

With all the fog and snow recently, I captured this stunning scene at Garden of the Gods as the sun rose over the winter landscape. You can see Cheyenne Mountain in the distance.
Predawn at Garden of the Gods
I woke up at 4:30 am and set off down the ice mountain road to the Garden of the Gods. I captured this angle about 40 minutes before dawn, as the sky glowed with an orange hue as the road crew plowed the roads.
